There was a significant relationship between gender (0.001), marital status (0.001), native status (0.001), father's education (0.001), mother's education (0.001), father's occupation (0.001), mother's occupation (0.001) and the score of the good professor characteristic, but there was no significant relationship with the university entrance quota (0.875) and age (0.265). The mean score of the good professor characteristic was 40.01±8.01, and the lowest score was 26, and the highest score was 52. The highest mean among the subgroups was 22.31±4.64 for professional characteristics, 12.97±3.06 for personal characteristics, and 4.72±1.23 for scientific characteristics, respectively.
Conclusions: The results of this study showed that students' evaluation of the characteristics of a good professor is mostly influenced by individual and family demographic factors, and age and university admission quota do not play a significant role.
