Background and Objective: In the present age, academic authority is the main focus of national development, and empowering university faculty members is presented as a key strategy for scientific progress and achieving academic authority. This research aims to identify the factors influencing faculty members' empowerment and provide practical solutions to strengthen scientific and research potentials. Methods: The researcher-developed questionnaire tool was used to survey the opinions of faculty members regarding the research issue. The statistical population included all full-time faculty members engaged in educational or research activities at Babol University of Medical Sciences, with 180 individuals surveyed through stratified random sampling. Findings:The survey results indicate that all items received a desirable score (above 3.5), thus the viewpoints of the faculty members at Babol University of Medical Sciences regarding achieving academic authority are mostly positive. Faculty members rated the item "the necessity for faculty to be familiar with the topic of academic authority" the highest, and the item "the direct relationship between patient satisfaction and the promotion of community health with authority in the specialty field" the lowest. Conclusion:Therefore, regarding achieving academic authority, the viewpoints of the faculty members at Babol University of Medical Sciences are positive. They believe that attaining academic authority is possible through the empowerment of faculty members to improve the quality of medical universities and to come closer to global standards in the field of health higher education.
