"Play" originates from the Latin word "Paidia," meaning childish fun, and is associated with creativity and improvisation. Games were incorporated into education in the 1960s, playing a crucial role in developing and conveying educational content. Unlike traditional methods, educational games promote active learning, enhancing user motivation and improving skills like problem-solving and decision-making. In medical education, game-based teaching can transform the learning process, aiming to bolster students' professional competence. This approach immerses students in realistic environments, making the challenges of real-life scenarios more tangible, ultimately leading to better patient care.
