Clinical Education Status According to the Nursing Students’ Point of View, Babol Medical Sciences University

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: Nursing education planners know that clinical education has the most importance of role in nursing education and nursing students can develop their theoretical knowledge with practicing in field.This study was done for determining of clinical education status from viewpoint of nursing students in nursing schools of Babol medical sciences university. METHODS: This study is cross-sectional, descriptive that was done on 150 nursing students in the terms7&8 in Babol, Amol and Ramsar nursing schools. After sampling, the clinical education questionaaires were filled by nursing students. Then, data was analyzed with spss (version 16). FINDINGS: In general, education goals (25.94±4.61), tutorial performance (21.62±3.63) and clinical practice were evaluated well and communication with students, evaluation and global clinical education status were reported moderate by nursing students. Results don’t show meaningful correlation between age, city, course, and viewpoint of nursing students about clinical education status CONCLUSION: Generally, viewpoint of nursing students about educational goals and tutorial performance was reported positive and student interaction, was moderate. Therefore, sufficient facilities in clinical education of nursing schools must be supplied. Effective education, specially in clinical practice needs different parameters that cause to develop easy learning, motivation and interest in work in clinical practice.
