Introduction to Mixed Research Method with Application in Echocardiography Education

In quantitative approach, the relationships between variables are objectively examined and quantitative data are analyzed using statistical methods, and the researcher is the percentage of generalization of the results to other conditions.qulitative method  seeks to understand the meaning that people attribute to a phenomenon. This method is carried out in completely "natural" conditions, and the researcher reaches the general by induction method from partial issues, and on the one hand, he does not seek to generalize the results to other situations. Mixed research method combines quantitative and qualitative research methods. The mixed approach uses four main designs for research including alignment methods, nesting design, explanatory design, and exploratory design.Therefore, it is recommended that those interested in the field of research in medical education should try to use the mixed research approach to expand and deepen their research.
