Design, Implementation and Evaluation of Faculty Empowerment Program in the Field of Virtual Education: An Application of the Harden Curriculum Planning Model

Background and Objective: With the prevalence of COVID-19 and the lack of face-to-face classes and the need for teachers to use the Navid virtual education system, the Education Development Center (EDC) organized a series of faculty empowerment workshops to develop virtual education. Due to the nature of this program; Professor Harden's planning model was selected.
Methods: The present study is based on Harden 10 step model, Includes; Identify needs, Formulate program goals,  Compiling the course content, Organizing the content, Formulating educational strategies, Teaching methods, Evaluation, Communication and information, Providing a favorable educational environment and Managing the design and Planning program, respectively.
Findings: According to the positive report of monitoring e-learning activities in the field of the number of empowerment programs for teachers in the field of e-learning, Number of active courses, ratio of active courses and number of active teachers in Navid system in Babol University of Medical Sciences, Also, the positive results of the satisfaction of the faculty members participating in the workshops, the success rate of the program was reported to be favorable.
Conclusion: Design, implementation and evaluation of faculty empowerment program in the field of virtual education by Harden ten-step method Due to the success of Babol University of Medical Sciences in monitoring virtual activity reports and also increased the satisfaction of professors participating in the workshops.
