Evaluation of Students' Perception About the Quality of Clinical Education in Babol School of Dentistry in 2020-2021

Background and Objective: : Considering the high importance of clinical education in the field of dentistry and lower than expected efficiency of some teaching methods in recent years, this study was designed and implemented with the aim of evaluating the quality of clinical education from the point of view of the clinical students of Babol dental school.
Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive-analytical study was conducted in the academic year of 2021-2022 and all clinical students of Babol Dental Faculty participated in it. Data collection was done through a questionnaire containing 17 questions about 10 clinical departments of the faculty, and the validity and reliability of which question was previously confirmed. Data were compared using ANOVA and independent sample T-test and Tukey's multiple comparison by SPSS software version 22 of windows. A significance level of less than 0.05 was considered.
 Findings: The total number of participating students was 150.There was no significant difference in the grades obtained regarding the quality of clinical education based on the academic year, gender and type of admission of students(P>0.05). among the 10 clinical departments were examined in the present study the pediatric department received the highest score (3.22±0.47) and the fixed prosthesis department received the lowest score (2.72±0/48) regarding the quality of clinical education.  
Conclusion: Considering the grades presented in this study, represent the average opinion of all clinical students, they can be relied upon for the future educational planning of the faculty.
